Add Some Spark to Your Website for the Fourth of July

As the Fourth of July approaches, people prepare for parades, concerts, barbecues, backyard baseball games, and fireworks. Businesses take advantage of the holiday, too, by offering discounts to ramp up their sales.

Online businesses update their websites, ads, and social media accounts and send emails with patriotic messages to attract more traffic. Historically, some businesses have done a particularly good job of incorporating the Independence Day theme into their online material. Here are three highlights from successful 4th of July promos of years past.

  • Brit + Co. – The company sent holiday-themed emails to its customers as an invitation to spend the day at the beach with cool drinks, food, and parties.
  • UrbanDaddy – UrbanDaddy broke away from the traditional red, white, and blue marketing approach for the holiday. Instead, they created a useful guide for watching fireworks in New York City.
  • Lowe’s – A few years ago, the home improvement store posted a Fourth of July video on Vine showing exploding fireworks, but the company substituted sparks with tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, scissors, with text that read “Happy Fourth of July.” Short and sweet—but still highly effective.

These are just a few of the outstanding businesses that have capitalized on the Independence Day holiday. If you are looking for ways to market your business for the Fourth of July, contact Utah Marketers, where we design websites from Orem to Ogden, and beyond.
