3 Unmatched Ski Resorts in Utah and the Impact of Skiing to Our Economy

Heading to Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado to watch the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships? I hear you. When you live in Utah, skiing (and snowboarding) is the real deal.

As a small business owner, I couldn’t help mulling over the large impact that skiing has on Utah’s economy. Based on the survey of ‘Ski Utah’ – a marketing firm operated by a group of Utah ski resorts, skiing contributes a whopping $1.29 billion to the state’s economy. The skiing industry also contributes and estimated 20,000 jobs, including ski instructors, lift operators, snowmakers, and even cooks.

There are countless ski resorts in the United States but if you want to experience some of the most spectacular skiing places, they’re right here in our own backyard.

1. Snowbird

This ski resort is known as the pride of Little Cottonwood Canyon. It is a trendy, elegant skiing haven filled with advanced features and acres of challenging terrain. Not only is the skiing amazing but the scenery is beautiful. Snowbird’s landscapes have been featured in several skiing, resort, and outdoor magazines and websites.

Often receiving more snow than most other resorts in Utah, Snowbird has been repeatedly rated number one across various travel and sport magazines and sites.

2. Deer Valley

For those seeking the most luxurious of Utah ski resorts, Deer Valley is a must see. Deer Valley is regularly rated as the number one ski resort by readers of SKI Magazine. It is well-known for its exceptional customer service, amazing dining, and convenient lodging. It features highly developed beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrains.

3. Park City Mountain Resort

Due to its huge half pipe and breathtaking terrain parks, Park City Mountain Resort attracts world-class athletes and coaches. There is no doubt why Park City Mountain Resort has become one of Utah’s most visited resorts.

Utah Marketers aim to give you beautiful websites that rank high in search engines.
