Exercises You Can Perform In The Office

May is National Physical Fitness Month and to celebrate it, we at Utah Marketers would like to encourage people who work sitting all day in an office to be more health conscious. If you’re like our Utah web designers, you sit… a lot. Sitting all day has numerous, negative affects on your health. In addition to making healthy choices at home, it is important to be health-conscious at work, too.

You may argue that you have no time for exercise or that you are busy and have to catch up on a lot of work. But we all know what that leads to. Stay healthy and break the humdrum in the office by performing these easy and non-distractive office exercises. They don’t take a lot of time, but they can save you from a lot of health problems. Simple stretching exercises can go a long way. Here is a simple exercise routine to keep your body circulating and healthy.

  • For starters, rotate your head slowly in a circular motion to stretch the nerves on your neck. Repeat this 4-6 times.
  • Next, stretch your arms. Sit straight and throw your arms over your shoulder, placing your hand on your back. Try to reach the lowest part you can for 2 seconds and rest. Repeat 4-6 times doing using both arms.
  • To stretch your back, sit straight and turn to your left using your right hand to pull your body towards the left direction. Repeat towards the opposite side.
  • To stretch your legs, try to stand on your toes for as long as you can and repeat 4-6 times.

Simple, right? No crazy jumping or jerking around. Now you have no excuse not to do light exercises and stretches at work to benefit your health.

Utah Marketers aim to give you beautiful websites that rank high in search engines.
